Castle Rock High Noon Rotary is comprised of business and professional people united in service
worldwide, to provide humantarian service, and encourage high ethical standards in all vocations. The Club was founded
on January 1, 2000.
Some of our projects include:
*Youth Exchange provides thousands
of young people, age 15-17, with the opportunity to study and meet people from other lands and to experience their culture.
*4Way Test Program teaches our ethics based 4Way Test to middle and high school students.
*Project Lifesaver
is a Douglas County-wide project partnering Douglas County Adult Services, emergency response agencies, and Castle Rock High
Noon Rotary in a life saving program. Frequently Alzheimer or mentally challenged adults and children wonder from their
caregivers. This project helps pay for the cost of a transmitter used to locate these missing at risk patients within
minutes, rather than hours, days or longer, significantly reducing the risk of harm or death to the patient.
*Connecting
with Nigeria is an opportunity for our club to send, on a quarterly basis, schools supplies and toys to Sanbogidan Kanar.
*Dictionary Literacy Program is designed to provide every third grader with their very own Scholastic Children's
Dictionary. Children learning writing and dictionary skills at this age.
*ShelterBox is a planned response
to unpredictable disasters. Each Shelterbox provides critical shelter and warmth for up to 10 people. Boxes are
packed disaster specific and contain high quality, new items which remain the property of the recipients. Each Shelterbox
goes immediately and directly to the people who need it the most-where need is not always defined by national boundaries.
Relief locations have include: SE Asia Tsunami; Usa Katrina; Pakistan; Sudan; Somalia; and Java Indonesia.
